Edit a film, turn a day's photos into a timelapse, animate the route you travelled, or record a tutorial with yourself in the corner. Cinejma brings these workflows together in a browser video editor, with no account or installation needed.

Turn a sequence of still photos into a video while retaining the relationship between each image and its original capture time. That connection lets you match a fast-moving timelapse to the GPS activity recorded during the same journey.
Import photos directly or open a ZIP of originals. Set a total video duration, photos per second, or time per photo. Choose capture-time, filename, or file-modified ordering, reverse the sequence, and split long recording pauses into separate videos.
Keep the whole photo visible or fill the frame by cropping its edges. Choose automatic, project, preset, or custom resolution, then adjust quality and output format.
Cinejma reads available EXIF capture times and GPS metadata, and stores a recorded-time mapping with the generated asset in the project. A GPX or FIT overlay can use that mapping to follow the original activity even though the video runs much faster.
The mapping travels with a Cinejma project package. It is project information; a standalone exported video is not a replacement for the original photos or activity file.
Accurate automatic matching depends on trustworthy timestamps. If a photo picker strips metadata, use a ZIP containing the original photos. Cinejma reports missing or ambiguous timing so you can review the assumptions.

02 / Put the journey on screen
Give a ride, run, hike, or road trip more context. Import an activity file and show where you were, how high you climbed, and the measurements recorded along the way.
Drag an imported GPX or FIT activity onto a video to match recording times, choose a section of the activity, or add the complete activity. The range picker helps you inspect the route and timing before placing it.
For footage with uncertain camera timing, review the time correction. You can also align an activity point with the project playhead. Timelapses use their preserved capture-time mapping for this same workflow.
Choose a route map, elevation profile, or route side view. Display GPS coordinates, distance, speed, altitude, and activity time. Heart rate, cadence, power, and temperature are available when the imported activity supplies those channels.
Style route progress, text, colors, and opacity. Use a translucent card, solid background, or transparent overlay to suit the footage beneath it.
Open Arrange widgets… to position and resize individual graphics and values. Start with Map + stats, Fitness, or Minimal, then refine the layout with grid snapping, safe-area guidance, visibility, locking, and layer order. Use the project resolution or a custom canvas, and move or resize the finished overlay as one object in the video.
Try it: Pair handlebar footage with speed and a route map, or keep a hiking video uncluttered with just an elevation profile.
03 / Make the route part of the story
Generate an animated map video from a GPX or FIT route. Choose the whole journey or a selected section, then give it a visual style, a moving position marker, and a camera that reveals the route.

Follow the route over real elevation data. Adjust camera pitch, zoom, smoothing, turn anticipation, and an opening fly-in. Terrain exaggeration helps emphasize the shape of the landscape.
Turn real terrain and available geographic context into a miniature storybook landscape. Stylized trees, water, scenery, and clouds give the journey a playful, illustrated character.
Style illustrations, not editor screenshots. Actual scenery and detail depend on the route and available map data.
Choose an overview, route-following view, side tracking, or gentle orbit. Set the duration, route width and color, and label size and detail. Pirate-map labels can appear near the marker or remain visible as a shortlist.
Use the mode's default position cursor, a storybook horse or boat, or import your own photo or transparent artwork. Adjust the crop, shape, and size to put a traveller, mascot, or logo on the route.
For terrain-based styles, explore summer, autumn, or winter surfaces and atmospheric options. Fairytale controls include rain or snow, scenery density, oversized trees, tree and snow lines, storybook clouds, and miniature softness. Show available roads, trails, and railways for more context.
Preview the result, choose output duration, resolution, frame rate, quality, and format, then generate a video to use alongside footage, music, and titles in your edit.
3D flyover and fairytale generation require terrain coverage for your route. Detail varies by installed map data; coarse terrain cannot show trail-scale relief. The generator explains coverage limitations, and pirate-map generation remains available when terrain is unavailable.

04 / Show it, explain it, edit it
Record a screen tutorial, capture your camera, or narrate an existing video. Add a rectangular camera overlay—often called picture-in-picture or a facecam—so viewers can see both you and what you are explaining.
Record audio, camera, or screen from the Add media menu. Camera and microphone are independently optional. Choose devices, switch between available front and rear cameras, set quality and a countdown, and check the microphone level before recording.
Pause and resume a take, finish it, discard it, or record another. Screen audio can be captured when the browser and shared source provide it, with its own gain control.
Choose Comment on this video… from a source video's menu to create a separate commentary project, or use Record commentary to add camera and narration at the timeline playhead.
In a commentary project, pause the source video while continuing to speak: the picture holds still and your explanation carries on. Pausing the recording itself instead leaves the break out of the take.
Screen video, camera, microphone narration, and shared-screen audio become separate clips in a screen tutorial. Reposition the camera with corner presets or dragging, and adjust its size. Position changes made during a take become editable transform keyframes, so you can refine the layout afterwards.
Capture options depend on browser support and device permissions. If screen sharing is unavailable, import a screen recording made on your device and add commentary to it in Cinejma.
05 / Build the edit
Bring videos, still images, sound, titles, captions, and activity overlays into one composition. Use the main storyline for the central sequence and additional lanes for the material around it.
06 / Control the frame
Move, scale, rotate, and crop visual clips. Use exact values or work directly in the preview. Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and opacity to balance a shot, soften an overlay, or build a layered composition.
Set your project dimensions for landscape, portrait, square, or a custom canvas. Preview zoom helps with close placement, while preview quality choices let you balance detail and responsiveness.
Animate position, scale, rotation, opacity, color adjustments, and crop edges. Add a combined transform keyframe for position, scale, and rotation, or control properties individually.
Edit motion paths visually and refine timing with linear, ease-in, ease-out, ease-in/out, hold, or custom Bézier interpolation. Use this for a slow move across a still photograph, a title entrance, or a camera overlay that changes position.
07 / Give the story a voice on screen
Add an opening title, a name label, a location, or captions timed to your footage. Titles can sit freely on the timeline; captions use a dedicated, non-overlapping lane over primary media, with shared sequence styling.
Choose fonts, pin favorites, and adjust weight, italic style, size, alignment, line height, and letter spacing. Control word or character wrapping and the text box width. Automatic, left-to-right, and right-to-left direction settings support multilingual text layout.
Use backgrounds with padding and rounded corners, outlines, shadows, and glow. Start with Clean or Bold Outline, or explore Neon, Weathered Gold, Chrome, Marble, Chalk, Rubber Stamp, and Cyber Glitch. Refine the appearance and animate the text clip with the same transform tools used for other visuals.
08 / Make the sound fit
Balance audio clips, mute unwanted sound, and add fade-ins and fade-outs. Monitor the master output or listen to the selected clip before and after effects while shaping your mix.
Use a six-band equalizer, high-pass and low-pass filters, a compressor, and a limiter. Begin with Clear voice, Warm room, or Radio voice presets, then adjust the individual effects. Reorder the effect chain to change how the sound is processed.
Explore reverb, delay, distortion, chorus, phaser, pitch shift, stereo enhancement, and panning. Level, waveform, and spectrum views help you understand what you are hearing as you adjust the sound.
Try it: Record a voiceover, reduce low-frequency rumble with a high-pass filter, balance the narration with a compressor, and fade your music around the introduction.
09 / Keep creating, come back later
Most media processing happens on your device, and projects are saved locally in your browser. Keep a browser copy of imported media to reopen projects without relinking, or restore access to original files when needed. Browser storage uses your device's available disk space.
Export a project package to back up your work or move it to another browser or computer. A package can include several projects, shared media stored once, and undo/redo history. Cinejma checks media access before packaging and lets you restore missing access; if history cannot be included, exporting without it is an explicit choice.
Importing a package restores an editable project rather than just a finished movie. This is also how you carry timelapse capture-time mappings and other project information into a new editing session.
Local browser storage is not a backup. Export a project package before clearing site data or moving to another device.
10 / Take the finished result with you
Project and export frame-rate choices include common film and broadcast rates such as 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, and 60 fps, plus 120 fps. Actual encoding support and practical output size depend on your browser and device.
Supported input and output codecs vary across browsers and operating systems. Cinejma checks available capabilities; formats such as H.264 and H.265 rely on browser or OS codec support. Changing preview quality does not change the quality settings of your final export.
